By 'invitation a deputation waited on the /Mangbnui Hospital Board on Tuesday tbj'state its views, as representatives of the'eastern area, as to the best means of: disposing of the.old, X-ray plant not now required at the. Hospital, as it had been.replaced by a imbdern.plant by Mr. and Mrs. Archibald.- •■
The deputation consisted of. Mr. .and Mrs? Barriball and Mr. Gartori. Mr. Barriball said the deputation represented the Mangbnui Civic League, ■ivhielv thought it would be a good idea if , the.plant were donated to the Whangaroa Hospital Board, which had no: X-ray plant.
Mrs. Barriball. said that as the plant had, in the T fffst instance, been presented for: the--benefit'.-bf.-suffering humanity, and as Whahganma was their nearest neighbour,' 'it:' would ; -be- a very, proper thing to offer the .plant'-to the Whangaroa' Hospital Board.
Mr. Gd'rton was in sympathy with the plaii.t;.,going to Whaiigaroa, -andrif, the board in'that district could not use it, theyTluight. .by inquiries be able to learn of some other; hospital which would find it acceptable.: .. ',".-. -.-...■
It was: decided to carry out the recommendation of the deputation.
