CYCLIST KILLED.
CRASH INTO FENCE.
INQUEST ADJOURNED,
Head injuries, following a crash into a corrugated iron fence, caused the death of a cyclist, Air. Duncan Steel Owens, aged 68, married, of 24. Mania Road, Hllerslic, about two o'clock yeseterdav afternoon. Air. Owens was riding his bicycle down Ladies' Mile, Kllerslie. when the machine apparently got out of control 011 the steep hill before the road junctions with Paiiniure Road. He was unable to turn at the bottom of the hill and crashed into the fence. With serious head injuries he was taken by St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital, where he died about 6.1."» last evening. An inquest was opened by Mr. W. R. McKcan, S.M.. this morning and adjourned for further inquires to be made. ,
