WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE.
The Government meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton : —
Moderate to strong northerly winds changing to southerlies shortly, weather cloudy to overcast, with rain soon and later colder temperatures. Seas moderate, but rising.
A trough of low pressure lies in a north and south direction over New Zealand, while an anti-cyclone is advancing across the Tasman Sea.
HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS.
The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was receiv ed from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: —- Wind. N.N.E., light; sea, smooth; cloudy and dull, with passing showers; visibility, gpod; barometer, falling.
