JOCKEY KILLED.
WHILE SCHOOLING HORSE. ACCIDENT AT RAND WICK. (Received 2 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The hurdle? jockey, A. Knowles, was killed at Randwick this morning. He was schooling a horse over the hurdles when his mount somersaulted and rolled on him, and in regaining its feet the horse appeared to stand on Knowles' head, crushing it. Knowles died in a few minutes. He was a married man with seven children. He rode Mount Dangar to victory in the A.J.C. Hurdle Race in June.
