The Hon. John Alexander, M.L.C., arrived from Wellington by the express this morning. Mr. M. J. Savage. Leader of the Opposition. arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. Hendry Luke, managing director of Wilton Collieries. Ltd., has returned from the South Island. Mr, R. li. Jones was yesterday admitted as a barrister of the Supreme Court by Mr. Justice Reed. Mr. P. McSkimining, M.P. for Clutha, and Mrs. McSkimming arrived by tlie Limited this morning 011 a visit to Auckland. Mr. E. L. Rutledge, general manager in New Zealand for the Fox Film Corporation, leaves for Wellington by the express this afternoon. Dr. 11. M. Moran, adviser in radiotherapy to the New South Wales -Government, who is touring New Zealand in connection w.itli the cancer campaign, leaves for Wellington by the Limited tomorrow night. Mr. J. A. C. Allum, chairman of the Auckland Transport Board, and Mr. J. Stanton, solicitor to the board, returned by tho Limited this morning from a visit to Wellington in connection with the Auckland Transport Board Empowerill"' Bill, now before Parliament.
