SECRETARY RETIRES.
EDUCATION IN CANTERBURY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCS, this day. Mr. C. R. Kirk, secretary of the Canterbury Education Board, announced to-day that he would retire on superannuation at the end of the year. He joined the service in Westland in' 1893, when ho was secretary of the old Westland Board.
