HENDERSON FLOWER SHOW.
A daffodil show was held yesterday at Henderson by St. Andrew's Horticultural Society. Exhibits of daffodils, anemones, ranunculus, Icelaml popples and other spring flowers were very good. ' The show was opened at 2.30 p.m. by Mr. F. Cullen. who also acted as judge. The champion bloom in (lie open section was exhibited by Mr. 11. W. Shepherd, and was a Lord Robert's. In the amateur section. Mr. C. K. Hill's Kantara. and in the amateur section (local). Mr. C. It. Hill's Gohlen Gate were awarded the, champions. The society's open challenge cup was won by the Sunuyside Uulb Knrm with Mr. 11. W. Shepherd second, and the society's challenge cup for local ama I curs by -Mr. C. It. Hill, with Mrs. A. Hepburn second. Other winners were as follows: — Open Section.—Trumpets and liedsii: It. W. Shepherd. Amateur Section.—o. R. Hill 3, K. W. Shepherd 2. Mr. C. U. Hill won eight classes altogether. In the novice class Mrs. Brown won four classes, and Mrs. Handby one. Open Section.—Trumpets and leedsii: R. lock 1, Mrs , . Skeel: 2. Decorated bowl: Mrs. Skeet 1, Miss I>uncan 2.
