BUSINESS OF CONFERENCE. CERTIFICATE FOR ARTIE HAY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HASTINGS, Thursday. The annual conference of the New Zealand Boxing Association was concluded to-day. Additional remits were carried as follow:— That where an association desires the appearance at its tournament of a team of amateur boxers from another district, the negotiations and arrangements for the appearance of such team shall be conducted through the association in whose district such team resides, and the team shall not be advertised as representing its province without the consent of the association concerned; that arrangements be made with the New Zealand Boxing Council to forward to associations monthly a bulletin giving particulars of all future boxing contests arranged and held' under its jurisdiction, together with the names and weights of the professional contestants, the value of the purse or the percentage basis, and the date and name and place of the tournament, also that all associations make every endeavour to cooperate yith the couneil in supplying this information. , That any boxer who holds three protessional titles and who retires undefeated shall be presented with a certificate in recognition thereof. Artie Hay is to receive the first certificate. That the Now Zealand Boxing Council arrange for the importation of overseas boxers to New Zealand, ■ and that the boxers while in the Dominion shall oe under the control of the council,, which shall arrange suitable matches in the various centres. . .. It was resolved by 63 votes to 55 to hold the next championship contests at Dunedin. The only other application taken was that of Christchurch. Owing to the absence of sponsors those of Greymouth and Thnarii lapsed. The election of officers resulted: —President, Mr. W. D. Wilson fOtago); jwcepresidente, ■ Messrs. D. H Newborn (Hawkc's Bay) and A. H. Curtayne (Wellington). The appeal committee, trustee*, and council and.all the individual ofhccvs were re-elected. . . , The treasurer estimated the income at £1300 and expenditure at' iLslj* tor tuo current year. From July to September the income was £116 above last years eS On ia Mr! Talbot's motion it was decided that there be no commitment entered into with regard to the international contest with Australia, 1936, without the consent of the 1035-conference.
