A successful season last year was ■•eported at the third annual meeting of the Auckland Business Houses' Cricket Association, 8t which the president. Mr. P. M. Shaw, presided. The teams playing last season num. bered 24, the same as in the previous year, and they competed in two sections. The committee appealed to clubs to endeavour to raise the standard of play by regular attendance with full teams, punctuality in starting, and attention to uniforms. A series of, rep. matches at the end of the season resulted in wins against the English Public School Old Boys and Manukau Association and losses against the Auckland .Tunior Reps, and Otahuhu Association. (From Our Own Correspondent) PUTARURU, this day. At a well-attended meeting this week it was decided to form a new cricket club to be known as the Oraka Club, of Putaruru. The election of officers" resulted: —President, Mr. S. .T. Parker; vice-presidents, Messrs. .Tones and A. H. Dukeson, sen.; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. G. Sneddon; committee, Messrs. E. B. Smith. E. Renner, H.. G. Agnew. A. E. ilcEwen, B. E. Lord, L. Guillard (with power to add) ; club captain, Mr. E. B. Smith.
