BIRTHDAY SOCIAL.
A very enjoyable birthday party social "was held in St. Enoch's Presbyterian Hall, Morningside, on Thursday evening. A large audience thoroughly appreciated an excellent programme arranged- by Mr. A. Gold. A special feature was the singing of St. Enoch's choir. Songs were rendered by Mrs. Penman, Mr 3. Dickson, and Miss M. Davidson. Mis 3 0. Jarvis gave elocutionary items, and Mr. Dickson and Masters A. Gold and H. Langford contributed vocal and instrumental items. Mr. Rowe was well received with his popular humorous numbers. The Rev. Wm. Butterworth was an excellent master of ceremonies. Mr. P. Simpson played the accompaniments. Tlie proceeds of the social will be devoted to St. Enoch's Church funds.
