HIS EXCELLENCY'S ATTITTJDE,

On September 6 a meeting was held in the Wellington Town Hall at which resolutions were passed protesting against the extension of the life of Parliament, the permitted trading in New Zealand waters of subsidised American ships, and the pegged high exchange. The meeting also called on the Government to hold a general election.
