DAMAGE BY FIRE
OUTBREAK IN WAIKt SHOP.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. An outbreak of fire occurred about 10.40 this morning in the grocery establishment of Mr. G. F. French, situated in the business block at the northern end of Seddon Street. Flames suddenly burst out in shelves in the shop, the outbreak being caused by the heat of an iron fish cooker in an adjoining shop of Mr. H. Richards. The firo brigade dealt with the flames effectively. Portion of Mr. French's stock was damaged by smoke and water.
