In fourteen matches they scored twelve wins and drew once, registering a total of 2SI points and having only 23 chalked up against them. The double win is a fine achievement for a club that was formed only this season, and goes to show what can be achieved with good organisation, regular coaching and the full co-operation of parents and friends. In his report to the Kugby Union on the competition. Mr. ,T. L. C'oular, stated that the importance of the contest would be recognised when it was realised that during the season 23 teams, comprising 345 players had taken part in it The Takapuna junior team had a remarkable performance in losing only five points. Eleven different referees had reported on the games played by the winners and all had been impressed.
