WIDOWS' PENSION.
Would anyone tell me what they call a widow's pension ? I have been in Auckland thirty years and my husband died over four years ago. We have spent all our money here and I am left a widow with an invalid daughter over 15 years old who will never be able to earn her own living. I wrote to the Minister of Pensions and asked him if he would grant mo a pension under tho circumstances, and ho replied that he was sorry lie could not. So where does a widow's pension como in? It is about time the law was altered and that the women in New Zealand fought for the invalid pension, ANOTHER WIDOW.
