QUOTA RESTRICTIONS. The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board has received cable advice from" its London manager stating that the British Government has informed the importers of foreign frozen pork that their quotas tor the period July to December, 1934,. must be 40 per cent less than their January to June, 1934, imports. This will check the recent heavy increase of foreign frozen" pork importations, and will make a 10 per cent reduction as compared with, the July to December, 1933, imports. As illustrating the recent heavy increase referred to ; ab6ve, the following figures | taken from the official trade and navisra-j tioK returns, presented to the Imperial Parliament, show the following imports of foreign frozen pork for the periods named:—; BRITISH POBK IMPORTS.
