KEEN DEMAND FOR OX
STEER BRINGS £13 12/6
The feature of to-day's sale at Westfield was the keen demand for ox beef. Buyers made their bids freely, and as there were many high-class beasts offered good priced were realised. Onu bullock brought £13 12/6, the best price realised at Westfiekl in recent years. A few weeks ago a bullock from the same farm was sold at the yards for £13, which was then the best price for gome time. To-day's yarding all round was a moderate one, ox beef being offered.in shorter numbers than usual. Calves pigs, and sheep were in average numbers, and satisfactory prices gave the market a firm tone.
