STRUCK A WHALE.
SENSATION ON SYDNEY FERRY. (Received 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Passengers were flung from their seats when the Manly ferry, Barragoola, collided with a whale opposite the heads. As the boat resumed her voyage the whale was seen heading for the open sea with a large wound in its side.
