Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., reports holding the usual sale at Waipu yesterday, when a large number of all classes.of cattle came forward; " There; was a large attendance of from- surrounding districts, and competition was keen for all classes, especially for good quality Jersey heifers and fat cows. Jersey heifers, close to profit, made 80/ to 85/; more, backward, 72/6 to 75/; late September calvers. 40/, to 49/; small and backward, 30/ to- 37/6; Shorthorn heifers, September. calvers, 50/ to 60/; fat cows, 66/ to 89/; forward cows. 45/ to 48/; boner cows, 7/ to 15/; cows and " , rji|^' i/ to 50/; forward-conditioned . bulloctu, • j»o Shorthorn steers, two-year-«il, to .'♦*•; yearling Jersey heifers, 13/ to 19/.
