INJURY TO EYE.
(By Tolograph.—Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKT, this day. Mr. James Parkinson, boyough ranger, received severe injuries to one of his eyes on Saturday. He was catching a horse, when he had suddenly to step back against some bamboo, a piece of which pierced his eye. Mr. Parkinson was taken to Dr. E. Candy, who found'there was grave danger o'f losing the sight of the eye, and ordered Mr. Parkinson to Auckland for treatment,
