WELLINGTON METHODS. AUCKLAND PARTY IMPRESSED. Three members of the delegation who visited' Wellington last week to give evidence before- the Parliamentary Committee, to whom Mr. A. Harris' Milk Act Repeal "Bill was referred, returned to Auckland this morning. They were Messrs. A. C. Trousdale, N. R. Davenport and tho secretary of tho Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council, Mr. .N. R. Chapman. After giving evidence on Thursday Messrs. Trousdale, Davenport and Chapmain remained in Wellington over the week-end, and they took the opportunity to visit and inspect the municipal 'milk depot. Mr. Davenport, who represented the Auckland Producers' Association, this morning said that lie and those with him were much impressed by the up-to-date plant and general organisation methods under which the Wellington municipal milk supply was conducted. The very latest machinery was in use and at the moment the council was installing an improved pasteurisation plant, at' a cost of £3000. "Provided the Milk Act is not repealed," said Mr. Davenport, "I feel sure that the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council will be wise to follow on the lines adopted by Wellington to ensure a satisfactory and economic milk supply for this city."
