DEVONPORT SHIELD. ST. LUKE'S AND SOMERVILLE DRAW. The Devonport Shield competition, under the auspices of the Auckland Hockey Association, was resumed at Remuera on Saturday. Although the "rounds were dry the surface was bumpy and tricky. The standard of play surfered, but'the games were full of exciting incidents. The old rivals, St. Luke s and Somerville, had a stirring go. Alter Somerville had enjoyed the lead for the greater portion of the game St. Luke s came to light in the closing stages and equalised the scores. North Shore rung a surprise on Wesley by a victory ot 4 goals to 3. -
