MINE MANAGER'S REPORT. Golconda.— During the week the following work has been carried out: Main drive on reef coins towards slide advanced 3ft, total 166 ft from the shaft. We crosscutted and reached the foot wall country: the wall is nearly vertical, about 1 iu 6, and the reP f is turning to the north-east, which should be its proper course. We have not yet reached the hangingwall in the crosscut In that direction. The reef at this point is 13ft wide, with no hanglngwall showing. This is a band of heavily mineralised ore about 18in wide, close to the footwall. YIELDS OF COMPANIES. Mahaklpawa.—7l oz. . • Brian Bom (near Greymouth).—Last; week, 220z for 120 hours. ' Lawson's Flat (Knmara).— Fortnight to July 28. 420z lCdwt retorted gold. ALLUVIAL APPLICATION. Advice has been received by the directors I of the Bell-Hooper Cromwell Gold, Limited, that the company's application for a snecial alluvial claim over its freehold land has been granted by the Warden's Court. - j GLENROY SLUICING. Preliminary sluicing operations have commenced at the Glenroy Gold Company's claim (Murchison). An official ceremony to mark the turning on o ftho water is to bo held shortly; ,
