RESCUE FROM DROWNING.
SMALL BOY IN DIFFICULTY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. The prompt action of the custodian of Williams' Park, Mr. W. Dick, saved the life of a little boy, David List, who over-balanced while playing on the wharf at Day's Bay. The boy's plight apparently was not noticed by the crowd on the beach, but his cries were heard by Mr. Dick, who ran down to the whaif and jumped in after him. The boy was unconscious when brought ashore, but Mr. Dick successfully applied resucitative measures.
