COASTAL ISLANDS.
The popularity of Sunday afternoon lectures at the Auckland War Memorial Museum was shown yesterday when there was an exceptionally large attendance to hear Captain G. M. Turner give an address on a scientific expedition in the ketch Will Watch to the Three Kings and coastal islands. A film taken during the cruise was shown. After views of Auckland Harbour, the audience was shown glimpses of the coastal islands, and then Parengarenga with its remarkable, white sand dunes. Th>> views of the Three Kings and adjacent islands were particularly interesting, a feature being the seabird life. On the way back from the Three Kings the Will Watch called at the Poor Knights, Whangarei Heads, the Hen and Chickens Group and at the Little Barrier Island. Pictures of the rare tuatara lizard on the Poor Knights and Hen and Chickens Group were shown,
