THIRTEEN YEARS AGO.
GISBORNE PROSECUTION. (By Telegraph. —Press Association.) GISBORXE, this day. A charge of obtaining £50 from the Repatriation Department in 1921 by the false pretence that the money was tor the purchase of six cows which did not exist was dismissed by Mr. E. Walton, S.M., to-day. "You are asking a man to defend a charge 13 years old," eaid the magistrate, in indicating that civil proceedings should be, taken.
