AMUSEMENTS.

CLEM DAWE'S FAREWELL. A seenc of enthusiasm rarely witnessed in an Auckland theatre marked tho farewell given Lo Clem Da we and his revue company at His Majesty's last night. With the conclusion of the grand filial-, when the company sang "Good Night, People," from the gallery, circle and stalls dozens of streamers were thrown to the stage, and in a few minutes the inside of the theatre was a veritable network of paper ribbons. Bouquets of flowers, boxea of chocolates and other presents wcra literally showered upon every member of the company. Clem Dawe received a miniature bottle of stout and an equally small bottle of oysters. Eric Edgley, Joe Shriller and Clem Dawe each made short speeches, in which they expressed appreciation of the support accorded the company during the eight weeks' stay, and the wish was expressed that the company should shortly visit Auckland again. Then the company gave three cheers for Auckland, but the house rocked when the audience rose and responded. It was a farewell such as is rarely accorded any theatrical company. NAVAL CHARITY BALL.
