DESIRE TO "SHOW OFF."
WORE CLERICAL COLLAR. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHUKCH, tliis day. A desire to impress- people and to "<Uio\v off" was what made John Frederick Amos wear a clerical collar, according to facts ™t before the Police Court this morning by his counsel, ill". Russell. Amos, aged 21 years, described as a minister of religion, was charged that he imposed on a private individual by fraudulent representations with a viewto obtaining money. The case was adjourned a month ago, and to-day Amos was admitted to probation for two years.
