Grey Campbell presiding, the chairman reported that members attended a meeting of the new League at Waiuku on Tuesday evening and much enthusjasm was shown. Arrangements were made for visits by Auckland teams and matches between "Waiuku and Tunkan. Tt was decided that Papakura and Manftcro teams play an exhibition match at Waiuku on Saturday week, Mr. D. Wilkie to represent the board. The new teams in the district will provide the curtain-raiser. The feature match on Saturday at Carlaw Park will be between Newton Hangers and City Rovers, preceded by the Pcvonport-Ponsonby match. The Manukau Club expressed thanks for •the assistance given by the PonsonbyJfarist senior fixture at Onelmnga on Saturday. As the result of strong official and player opinion from the Newton Club, it •was decided to prohibit the use of metal (aluminium) sprigs by players of all teams. A special committee was deputed to enforce the prohibition.

The Auckland Provincial Brass Bands Association advised that a brass bands contest being contemplated in the first or (second weeks of November,, it was asked ■whether Carlaw Park was available, and also on Sundays for brass bands from November to May, 1935. The matter was left in the hands of the chairman and T Mervyn Gwitli, Mount Eden (with reinstatement recommended to the New Zealand Council) and Erie G.
