NEW SOUTH WALES TITLE.

VICTORY FOB. JIM FERRIER. FOURS AND BETTER ALL THE WAY. SYDNEY, July 15. J. Ferrier (New South Wales) played phenomenal golf yesterday at Kensington when he defeated J. IS". Kadcliffe (Queensland), 9 anil 8, in the final of the New South Wales amateur championship. After a morning round of 72 with nine consecutive fours on the homeward journey, Ferrier finished G up on Radcliffe. In the afternoon he went out in 33, which was two under par, to Radcliffe's 35; He finished off his opponent at the 28th hole. This is Ferrier's ninth major title.

ENGLISHMEN FOR AUSTRALIA. LONDON, July 15. L. M. Garnett and T. A. Bourn' have accepted invitations to join the amateur golf team for Australia in September.
