FIRE INSURANCE.
MUTUAL AMENDMENT BILL. POWER FOR TRUSTEES. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Provision is to bo mado for trustees in deceased persons' estate* carrying on fire- insurance on property of the estates. Notice was given in the House of Representatives to-day hy Mr. J. A. Young, Minister of Internal Affairs, of his intention to introduce the Mutual Fire Insurance Amendment Bill. The present' legislation does not permit trustees to carry on existing fire insurance policies with mutual, companies, and tho new legislation is designed to remedy this.
