HITLER'S "SWOOP."
Minister's Bitter Attack on Foreign Press. "GUNMAN JOURNALISM." (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 11.30 a.m.) BERLIN, July 10. Reiterating that the Government had hidden nothing, Dr. Goebbols, Minister of Propaganda, in a broadcast, attacked foreign newspaper correspondents in Germany, naming practically all the London dailies. He accused them of lying, calumny and distortions, adding that with a few exceptions the foreign newspapers had exhibited a delirium of malicious provocation and hysterical abuse. The Government, would not tolerate in future correspondents engaging in such "gunman journalism." Heir Hitler will convene the Reichstag on July 13, presumably to hear a statement on the recent plots. The Reichstag, which is now an all-Nazi assembly, has not met since January 30. The Berlin police have appealed to the public to help them to trace the perpetrators of "an abominable crime" committed on the eve of the Roeluu plot, when 54 tombstones in the Jewish cemetery at Paderborn were destroyed. Heir von Papen was summoned to the headquarters of the secret police. He was subjected to close examination. The Kcicll Bishop, Dr. Mueller, speaking at a mass demonstration, used a phrase implying approval of Herr Hitler's methods. He said: "The day may come when even the Reich Primate may be obliged to strike hard. The conflict within the Church must be ended for the sake of the Church."
