PERSONAL.
Mr. C. M. Riclnvhite left for Wellington by the Limited last evening. Dr. T. U. Pettit returned from Wellington by the express this morning. Sir James Gunson, a member of the Railways Board, left for Wellington by the Limited last evening. Mr. 13. L. Butledgc, general manager in Xow Zealand for the Fox Film Corporation, leaves for Wellington by the Limited to-night. Dr. Alfred Clark, formerly of Auckland, has been transferred, under the Colonial Office and the Medical Research Council, to Nigeria, to investigate food problems. Colonel F. Symon, director of artillery and officer ■commanding the Central Command, arrived from Wellington by the express this morning and is at the Station Hotel. Mr. Victor J. Cornaga, representative in New Zealand and the Islands for John Dewar and Sons, Ltd., arrived from the South yesterday on a business visit to Auckland.
Mr. H. S. Abel and Mr. G. Sabb, of Wellington, trustees of the Grand Lodge of Druids, who have been in Auckland on lodge business, return South by the Limited to-night. Major-General Sir William SinclairBurgess, general officer commanding the New Zealand Forces, arrived from Wellington by the express this morning and leaves again by the Limited to-night. Mr. M. M. McCallum, chairman of tho Auckland district racing committee, and Mr. Donald McLeod, president of the Avondalc Jockey Club, leave for Wellington to-day to attend the annual Racing Conference.
