Emerson leaves for Sydney early in August with Marcus Cicero and the .rising two-year-old Hine Ra, he wili also have Croupier under his care, but will not train the Surveyor horse. Croupier has been, spelling near Nelson since Easter, and though he has not been operated on, he has been receiving special treatment for wind trouble. His owner, Mr. R. J. Murphy, with the idea that the Australian climate may suit the horse, has arranged to have Croupier trained at Randwick, and he is unlikely to ever race in New Zealand again. On arrival in Sydney Emerson will hand him over to George Price, who will be his trainer in future. Croupier cannot be at his best for races early in the season, but the decision to leave him in Australia will give Price plenty of time to get Croupier ready. ARRIVALS AT SYDNEY. M. CARROLL'S -TEAM.
