DARING SURFMEN.
DRAMA OF BONDI BEACH. SYDNEY, July 1. Five members of the Bondi Surf Club yesterday in a heavy sea undertook the grim and hazardous task of recovering a body from rocks some distance from tho shore. After hauling the body into a boat they commenced to return ■when a huge wave crashed down, capsized the craft and scattered tlicm in all directions. Eventually the men succeeded in righting the boat and were surprised to find the body still wedged under a seat. They could not make the shore, so a line was run out and they were hauled back to the beach. Later the body was identified as that of a local council employee, some of whose personal effects were found on the rocks.' I
