FROM A FEW PIPS.
AUSTRALIAN APPLE INDUSTRY (Deceived 3 p.m.) LONDON, July 1. An Australian correspondent in the "Daily Express" states, that it is 50 years since the first consignment of 400 cases of Australian apples was received in London. The total now is 4,000,000 cases a year. The records do not reveal that Captain Philip took any trees; so apparently he founded a great industry by means of only a few pips.
