WAIKATO SYNOD.

TO BE OPENED THIS EVENING. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, this day. At the opening of the annual synod of the Waikato diocese in St. Peter's Cathedral, Hamilton, this evening, the preacher of the synod sermon will be the Kev. C. Mortimer-Jones, of Hastings, and formerly of Cambridge. Bishop Cherrington will afterwards deliver his charge. It is expected that the synod will last only two days.
