TRANSPORT LICENSING.
Ten. applications for goods and passenger service licenses were considered by the No. 2 Transport Licensing Authority this morning. Mr. J. A. C. Allum presided, and with him were Messrs. E. C. Blomfield and T. Hanna. Of the ten, six were for continuous goods services and the remainder for passengers. The majority of the latter were for amendments to services already inaugurated. Of the applications, six were granted and four were deferred. Those granted were: A. Doidge, an amendment of his time-table both summer and winter, to Beachlands; the Birkenhead Transport Co., Ltd., an amendment gf time-table, and permitting double fares on the 12.10 a.m. trip, Monday to Fridays; White and Sons, application for a deviation of their route to pick up mails at the Waitakaruru post office; Loughrin and Mclvor, application for passenger service, Tuakau to Auckland, via Bombay and Pukekohe East; T. Fitzpa trick, application for goods service from the Paerata and Papakurti stations over the route of his cream contract; Mcllraith and Lacassie, license for a rural mail delivery from Papakura.
