MINERS GASSED.

TWO MEN ASPHYXIATED. (Received 11 a.m.) EALGOORLIE, this day. Two men, Andrew Fasanini, 30, and Pietro Bendotti, 28, were asphyxiated by gas fumes in the Sons of Gwalia mine, 160 miles north of Kalgoorlie. A third man, who was gassed, made a heroic attempt at rescue. He was hauled to the surface and taken to hospital in a delirious condition.
