LYNNDALE AMATEURS.

FIXTURES. Saturday, June 30.—Open Junior and Senior Race. Ideal weather favoured the Lynndalc Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club in its weekly series of road races last Saturday afternoon. " The steadily increasing junior section eaw a record entry of starters, and all are to be congratulated on their splendid showing. Geo. Holton, for his third ride, is showing groat promise. His first and fastest was certainly a very fine effort, and speaks well of his future. This was his second win. Cyril Boles lias been suffering bad luck of late, but his second and second fastest on Saturday looks to be a change for the better, as this rider ia capable of producing some good pedalling. O. Webb has been steadily improving, and his third place on Saturday is a leg up to his future races. Both the scratch men, Jack Hutton and H. J. Robertson, suffered spills, which lost them valuable time. They finished ninth and tenth respectively. Stan Alderson (4.30) again showed the seniors the way home. It looks as if this rider is going to be tough, for he has won as lie liked. Geo. Cummings is eventually getting right into form, for he was third the week before, and now second this week. He should be in a place next week. Ray Campbell (2.30) gave a good fast display when he sprinted in for third place and second fastest time. Norm. Helliwell (2.15) was fourth, gaining fastest time from the scratch pair by 47 seconds. Norm, is figuring prominently in the fastest time list, this being his second success. The club is holding its first open race on Saturday, when record fields will be the order of the day. BEACH HAVEN CLUB. The Beach Haven Amateur Cycling Club held its usual weekly road race over an out-and-home course to Albany and back, a distance of 22 miles. Owing to a lot of riders suffering from severe colds, there was a small muster, and it was. decided to hold a combined race. A decidedly strong head wind was encountered on the outward journey, and this prevented any fast times being recorded. A good race resulted in a win for J. Culpan (5.0), who beat J. McGregor (11.0) by 2s, witli R. Tout (11.0), a junior, 2s further back third. • Culpan's time for the 22 miles was 06.23. The next to finish was B.
