AFFAIRS OF REFEREES. At the meeting of the Auckland Rugby League Kefcrees' Association last evening, Mr. A. JMeGowatt presiding in the absence of Mr. L. Bull, the adoption of the new force-down five-yard rule was confirmed. Invitations were received for the chairman, secretary and lino umpires to attend the dinner to be tendered to the Taranaki team on Saturday evening- ... Mr. W. Billman reported that there were 79 players and officials at the training night he was requested to attend at Papakura, and it was a pleasure to note the enthusiasm displayed. Several complaints were made with regard to bicycles being placed on the ingoal area of grounds at the Domain and Victoria. Park, at the former a Soccer net also being an obstruction. The matter was brought under the notice of the delegate- to the senior body. It was decided to request that a board be placed at the Domain showing the w_eekly allocation of grounds. Linesmen for Saturday at Carlaw Park, Messrs. W. G. Caddy, T. Evans.
