"As far as such action depended on ourselves, I would restore Germany's colonies," declared Dr. Barnes, Bishop of Birmingham, in the course of a sermon in connection with the National Peace Congress at Birmingham.
Bishop Barnes,
He emphasised the ardent desire for universal disarmament, and added that if such attempts failed, he would have Britain disarm and trust for safety to a policy of International righteousness.
He would give India self-government, withdrawing all control except for the maintenance of order during the transition period.
