_To show their sympathy in a practical way and assist the combined Y.M.C.A. and Y.W.C.A. stall at the Three Lamps, Ponsonby, supervised by the Ponsonby women's organisations, a committee of Heme Bay ladies did a house-to-house canvass around the waterfront portion of Heme Bay, with a gratifying result. The stall "takings wore augmented to the extent of over £13. Assisting Mrs. J. S. Millar, the convener of the committee, were Mesdames Allum, Mathews, Currie, Seagar, Hale, Hall, Browne, McLanachan, Stallworthy, Mossman, Cooke, Misses Baegitt, Graham, Hawke, Kidd, Jean Millar, Euby Allum, Joyce Horsley, Phyllis Renner, Frankie Phillipps, Betty Brown Gwen Frieberg, Dorothy Bray and Nesta Williams.
