AT THE TROTS.

FASHIONS ON THE LAWN. The lovely sunny morning brought a large number of race, enthusiast* to Alexandra Park to-day, when the Auckland Trotting Club held the first day of its winter meeting. The lawn presented an attractive sight as the smartly-dressed women walked along. Tailored euits were the order of the day. They were not altogether of the plain, severe type, but had trimmings •and accessories. The lapels were wide and the tie at the neck was of the smart cross-over effect.
