TWO NOTICES OF MOTION. The Auckland Hospital Board met yesterday, the chairman, Mr. W, Wallace, presiding. / ... . Notices of Motion.—Mr. A. L. Speuce gave notice to move at the next meeting that the board institute the practice of heliotherapy at the public hospital, and that a committee consisting of the chairman of the board, the chairmen of the house and buildings committees, Dr. Gunson and the mover, prepare a report for submission to the board upon the measures necessary to establish a heliotherapy department at the hospital. Mrs. M. M. Dreaver gave notice to move at next meeting that consideration be given to the question of installing a call system in the Auckland Hospital, so that medical officers may be located with a minimum of delay when uregently required. Refresher Course.—The New Zealand Trained Nurses' Association wrote asking for the establishment of a refresher course for nurses. It was decided to reply that the lady superintendent had always been willing to afford post-graduate work for nurses, and the matter had been left in her hands. T.B. Cases.—A letter was received from the Health Department to the effect that question of providing accommodation for tuberculosis treatment was being considered, and a statement regarding the prospects of erecting a sanatorium for Auckland would be made shortly.
