A CHARGE DISMISSED.
MAGISTRATE'S COMMENTS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this clay. \ case of considerable interest to motorists was heard in the Police Court on Saturday, when Robert Ernest Kichardson was charged with failing to give way to a car approaching on the right, when crossing an intersection. The magistrate, Mr. H. W. Bundle, intimated that he did not think the eliar«*e could succeed unless the new amendment to the motor regulations' was made retrospective. He amendedthe charge to one of negligent driving, and dismissed ■ the information, subject to the payment of expenses. He said that if there were any other-charges of failing to give way to traffic on the right, informations of negligent driving should be laid.
