GOLF AT WHANGAREI.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The first round of the Duff was played by members of the Whan Valley Golf Club during the week-end. A medal round was played in conjunction, and was won by Dennis, with a net 07. Other good cards were returned by Sheen, net 71 j Hamblyn, 71; Martin, 72; Hargrave,' 73 On the Mount Den by links a challenge between the lady and men members provided an interesting match yesterday, and resulted in a win tor the ladies by 8 matches to 4.
