ONE GERM BECOMES MANY How Colds Are Spread It may bo only one little germ, or microbe, ;hat floats into your system with the air you oreathe. But once lodged amongst the lumerous tiny cavities of noso, throat or iungs, germs multiply rapidly. The warm, moist conditions provide an ideal breeding ground. The presenco of large numbers of jerms inflames the mucous membranes lining the nose and throat, and causes these membranes to " respond " by flooding the breathing passages with mucus or phlegm. And you have " caught a cold."! There has recently been evolved a new scientific treatment for colds. With the aid of Karsote Inhalant, it is possible to nip aolds in the bud by killing off germs as they enter the system. The actual germ-killing effect of Karsote Dn cold-causing germs is shown in magnified diagram below. Fig. 1. —Germs at commencement of attack. Pig. 2. —Showing large increase in number of germs after 24 hours. Fig. :!. —J/<~ss than 10 minutes' exposure to Karsote vapour has entirely killed the germs. To use Karsote, you simply sprinkle a few drops on to a handkerchief, and -,'nhale the pleasant vapours that arise. Immediately you flood every crevice of the bronchial tubes, right down to the bottom of the lungs, with an atmosphere in which germs cannot possibly live. Nothing could be simpler—and certainly nothing could bo more effective. Karsote is obtainable of chemists and Stores at 1/4 and 2/- per bottle.
