POWER FOR NEW 1 YA.
Details of the proposals submitted to the Broadcasting Board for the supply of power to the new IYA transmitting station at Henderson were considered in camera by the Waitemata Power Board tO'day. It was reported by the manager, Mr. A. Main, that Mr. E. 0. Hands, general manager of the Broadcasting Board, had called on him during the month in reference to a supply to the new station. The new load would not be less tha-n CO k.w., and as it would be constant for 15 hours daily, it should provide a steady and profitable load on the system. Subject to confirmation by the Power Board, tentative proposals. for supply and charges had been urgently conveyed to the- Broadcasting Board.
