FATAL EXPLOSION.
MAN KILLED INSTANTLY. ACCIDENT IN MINE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, Wednesday. Mr. Lawrence Pattinson, single, aged 28, residing with his parents at Dunollie, was killed instantaneously this afternoon by a shot in the newPoint Elizabeth mine. ■ Mr. Lawrence was alone in the face at the time and it is unknown how the accident occurred. Two workmates, who were outside the mine, heard the explosion, but their companion was dead before they could reach him.
