ROAD TO MILFORD.

Hinchey, president of the Southland League, which hae long regarded the Eglington-Milford road as a national undertaking of importance, paid a tribute to the Hon. A. Hamilton's activities in connection with the completion of the route. In order to complete the undertaking in under tTiree rears, it is the intention of the- Public Works Department to engage a. further 100 men on the road. These men, according to the assistant engineer at Invereargiil, will in all probability be recruited from Southland.
